We have received bids on several lots so far, but our Bulky Lot Sale this Saturday is STILL ON! It is now an INTERNET ONLY auction. Viewing can be arranged through Facetime but I will not ship lots. Arrangement can be made for pickup only.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has signed the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order (EO 2020-21), directing all Michigan businesses and operations to temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. At this point in time, this is in effect for 3 weeks. Since I am a sole proprietor and typically work alone, I will now split my time between home and office, with a majority of my time working from home.

As a result, our March 28th auction is now an internet auction only. I can provide any information you need to know on these lots either by phone or facetime. Please call to schedule. If successful, we will arrange pickup if necessary. I still will not ship.

Our May 9th auction is postponed until we know more about the virus. Government established timing on small businesses to conduct business in a “back to normal” fashion will help us establish a new date. Please note that it does take time to publish a catalog with a published auction date on the cover and It is of utmost importance that we can provide our customers with a safe vieing and bidding environment.

Please take a look at my revised Calendar of Events. I expect this to be changing in the next few weeks, so please check back for further updates.

Thank you and please stay safe,
Mark Vervaeke

Sterling Kingbrook’s second big auction of 2018 will be June 23rd at 1pm at the Sterling Kingbrook Auctions office in Brighton, MI right next door to Sterling Stamps.

For more up-to-date auction lot information and photos visit sterlingkingbrookauctions.com.

Many local Michigan collectors and dealers are excited to hear that Sterling Stamps of Brighton, Michigan and Kingbrook MBS of Shepherd, Michigan have begun to start-up a Michigan auction firm targeting local and worldwide collectors and dealers.  With a couple key Michigan auction houses now retired, there seems to be room for a new premiere auction establishment.  We want to keep it simple, friendly, and efficient like old time mail and floor auctions but utilize the internet for greater visibility like today’s auctions. Our goal is to work closely with our consignors – listing lots the way you want us to list them, agreeing on start prices, offering low consignment fees, and of course, paying our consignors on time. With this goal, consignments are already coming in for a February 2016 auction.  So look for details on STERLING KINGBROOK AUCTIONS right now.

“Thank you very much for all the useful information you provided me about U.S. stamps when my wife and I visited your store today. It was a pleasure meeting you and talking to you.
Thank you also for all the great sheets of stamps you sold me at face value! This is a great start to my beginner’s stamp collection. I look forward to visiting you again and adding more U.S. stamps to my collection.
